Auracast™ is a new Bluetooth® broadcast audio technology designed to make listening easier in public spaces. Instead of relying solely on speakers, Auracast allows a venue to send audio directly to compatible hearing aids, earbuds, headphones or smartphone. The result is clearer sound, reduced background noise and a more enjoyable experience at places like theatres, concerts and community events.
Helping Our Community Hear
Dr. Gary D. Schwartzberg is proud to support hearing accessibility in the community by providing the Auracast transmitter and helping bring this emerging technology to local venues. Our team is committed to improving access to clear sound and leading the way in modern hearing solutions that benefit people of all ages and hearing levels.
Not everyone has Auracast‑enabled devices. That is why there are plans to offer additional equipment, such as neckloops, so more people can take advantage of this technology. Our goal is to make listening access inclusive for all.
Auracast at The Strand Theatre
Dr. Schwartzberg is partnering with The Strand Theatre in Rockland to introduce Auracast for performances and films. This feature, which is coming soon, will give patrons the option to enjoy clearer, more personalized audio during events.
Looking Ahead
We plan to expand Auracast to additional venues in Rockport and Waterville, with a long‑term vision of creating more accessible listening environments across the region.
If you are curious about assistive listening technology or want to know whether Auracast could benefit you, our team is here to help.
